This giving me a hard time atm. What do i need to improve, if the yoyo just winds halfway up? Also is it important for this trick that your hand faces up in the end or doesn't it matter?
You need a nice solid pop, but not hard enough that it sends it wobbling. There’s definitely a balance, I never thought I’d get it, but now I can get it back up nearly every attempt.

My yoyo bounces high and starts spinning, but lands hard after the bounce and dies. Any tips?
For me the gamechanger was when I found out that you can twist the loop during pinching to create more friction. This way less spin is needed for the string to grip the bearing. It makes binding much easier.
